Maddux attended High School at William and Mariam Ghidotti Early College High School in Grass Valley, CA. He graduated as Student Body President and received a Golden State Seal Merit award. He also Graduated as a member of the National Association of High School Scholars

During High School, Maddux was enrolled in Sierra College, a California Community College. While in High School he earned 42 College units (About 1.5 years at a four-year).

Directly Out of High School, Maddux enrolled at San Francisco State University and is working to get a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with Minors in Human Sexuality Studies and Public Health.

While at San Francisco State University, Maddux earned a certificate of Interfaith Dialogue program Completion from Building Bridges Together in collaboration with SFSU's Office of Diverity and Interfaith programs

Fall of 2023 Maddux participated in one cohort;

Semester at Sea

Maddux Sailed with Semester at Sea on their 134th voyage in Fall 2024. During his voyage, Maddux participated in many different programs and expanded learning opportunities.

Maddux was also a Chapman Impact Scholar during the voyage and participated in the Chapman Impact Field Program volunteering in South Africa for five days.

Soliya Dialogue Facilitation

Maddux participated in a dialogue facilitation training and after facilitating dialogue on the ship, has earned a UN endorsed certificate.

Leadership Trainer Leadership Trainer Training

Maddux participated in the Leadership Trainer Training and is currently preparing for his certification exam.
