Maddux works with multiple organizations to both help advance their work and spread his message and work.
SF Hillel
The first organization Maddux joined when he moved to SF was SF Hillel. Maddux continues to be an active member of SF Hillel and is currently a Student Leader.
SF Hillel is here to support all Jewish students in San Francisco and fortify the future of the Jewish people. We learn about each student’s relationship with Judaism and then help them explore their Jewish identity, build Jewish community, and develop them into our future Jewish leaders.
Semester At Sea
Maddux Sailed with Semester at Sea on their 134th voyage in Fall 2024. On the voyage Maddux served as co-leader of the Jew Cruise Jewish organization and as an active member of other clubs and certification programs.
As an Alumni, Maddux serves as both a Diverity Peer Mentor to new voyagers, as well as a Global Ambasador in the Bay Area.
Bring Change 2 Mind
Maddux Has worked with Bring Change 2 Mind (BC2M) for three years now. In High School he was the club president for 2 years and then has continued to work with them into his college experience.
BC2M is a national organization that works to end the strigma and discrimination around Mental Illness. They create multimedia campaigns, curate storytelling movements, and develop youth programs to encourage a diverse cultural conversation around mental health. Their biggest program is creating clubs in schools across the nation.
JPAC
Maddux worked with JPAC in 2024 and attended their 2024 Capitol Summit in Sacromento, CA, at a Campus Counsil student representative.
CSUEU
Maddux Worked as a Campus organizer in 2024 to help Student Assistant win the vote to Unionize across the California State Univerity system.
Active Minds
Maddux joined the active minds club at San Francisco Sate Univerity in his first few months. He served as the Treasurer for the club during the 2023-2024 school year.
Active Minds is the nation’s premier nonprofit organization supporting mental health awareness and education for young adults
We are dedicated to saving lives and to building stronger families and communities. Through education, research, advocacy, and a focus on young adults ages 14–25, Active Minds is opening up the conversation about mental health and creating lasting change in the way mental health is talked about, cared for, and valued in the United States.
